Discover the country music capital of the world, Nashville, stepping foot in some of the city's most famed venues, visited by the likes of Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Aretha Franklin and Elvis Presley. Speaking of Elvis, we'll also visit his birthplace, Tupelo, before heading to his opulent mansion, Graceland, in Memphis, where the 'King of Rock and Roll' lived. Finally, we'll head to the cultural melting pot of New Orleans, a city which everyone should visit at least once!

DAY 1 UK - ATLANTA
You will make your way to the airport for your flight to Georgia's capital Atlanta today.

DAY 2 ATLANTA - NASHVILLE
Nashville is both the capital of Tennessee and the country music capital of the world. This is where we spend the
next two nights, with a sightseeing tour of its highlights included. Get to know your travelling companions better
over a welcome dinner this evening. Meals included: B,D

DAY 3 NASHVILLE
Today we'll visit Studio B, which became famous in the 1960s for its part in the Nashville Sound, which revived the popularity of country music. We'll also head to the Country Music Hall of Fame to see a huge collection of artefacts connected with the genre. The perfect way to end the day is with an optional evening concert at the Grand Ole Opry, one of the most important venues for country music anywhere in the world.

DAY 4 NASHVILLE - MUSCLE SHOALS
Another day inspired by music begins with a visit to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame to see exhibits ranging from gold discs to costumes worn by the likes of Hank Williams and the Commodores. We also step inside the FAME Studios, where music legends such as Aretha Franklin, Little Richard and Otis Redding have recorded, as well as the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio.

DAY 5 TUPELO - MEMPHIS
We make our way to another great musical city today – Memphis, which is located on the banks of the Mississippi River. En route we call at Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley. We'll see the house where he was born and visit a museum which is home to one of the finest collections of Elvis memorabilia in the world.

DAY 6 MEMPHIS
Today we'll learn more about Elvis, starting with a visit to Sun Studios, where he made his first recordings. Next, we'll head to Graceland, the opulent mansion where the King of Rock 'n' Roll lived until his untimely death in 1977. We'll also find time to visit the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, located on the site of the Stax recording studio and record label of soul legends such as Otis Redding and Isaac Hayes, Later you can explore Memphis at your own pace. A stroll along Beale Street, which is lined with blues clubs, restaurants, shops and bars, is a great way to soak up the city's vibrant atmosphere.

DAY 7 MEMPHIS - NATCHEZ
We'll leave Memphis today and head to Natchez, a historic river town on the banks of the Mississippi. This laid back destination is filled with grand mansions and we’ll visit one today to learn about southern life in the “antebellum” period, before the civil war. Stanton Hall was built in 1859, and was occupied by Union troops during the American Civil War. Our guided tour here will give us a fascinating glimpse into the life of wealthy cotton merchant, Frederick Stanton, and his family.

DAY 8 NATCHEZ - NEW ORLEANS
New Orleans is our destination today, and we'll stay here for three nights. Also known as the 'Big Easy', this exciting city is the home of jazz, and our hotel is located steps away from the French Quarter. We'll enjoy an included sightseeing tour on arrival. This evening, why not head in to the French Quarter with your travelling companions to enjoy a drink and a meal and soak up the lively atmosphere of this iconic area, where music spills from every doorway.

DAY 9 NEW ORLEANS
This morning we'll discover even more of New Orleans on an included walking tour of the French Quarter. We'll finish at a restaurant for a buffet brunch accompanied by live jazz music, served in a pretty outdoor courtyard. The rest of the day is all yours to explore the galleries and boutiques of the French Quarter, or join an optional Louisiana swamp and bayou tour.

DAY 10 NEW ORLEANS - AT LEISURE
Today you can spend the day making your own discoveries in New Orleans. You could return to the French Quarter, explore some of the city's museums or stroll through one of the lovely parks.
This evening, if you want to enjoy a real southern experience, why not join our optional excursion. You'll board an authentic paddle steamer and cruise along the Mississippi River with dinner. Meals included: B

This fabulous South African adventure starts in cosmopolitan Cape Town, where you'll have the chance to ascend Table Mountain and enjoy a tour of the Cape Peninsula. The highlights keep on coming as we visit Oudtshoorn and Knysna, and then drive along the spectacular Garden Route, taking in Storms River Mouth on our way to Port Elizabeth. From here we'll fly to Johannesburg, before travelling along the scenic Panorama Route to the Greater Kruger Area. Here we'll go on safari in search of the 'Big Five', the perfect end to an unforgettable tour.

DAY 1 UK - CAPE TOWN
Today you fly to Cape Town.

DAY 2 CAPE TOWN
On arrival in Cape Town and en route to our hotel, you'll see many of the city's highlights. If the weather permits we'll even make the trip up Table Mountain by cable car. You can then get to know your travelling companions over dinner this evening.

DAY 3 CAPE PENINSULA
There's a great day ahead as we set off to explore the Cape Peninsula to take in some absolutely breath-taking views including the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range and a drive along one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world, Chapman's Peak (weather permitting), we'll explore Cape Point, stop at Boulders Beach, famous for its penguin colony, and travel into Simon's Town before completing our travels with a visit to the wonderful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Dinner this evening will be a moment to see, feel and taste the heartbeat of Africa. Starting with an interactive djembe drumming session, before enjoying your meal, served in generous individual and shared portions with country of origin. With cooking techniques and spicing explained, it's a real experience!

DAY 4 CAPE TOWN - AT LEISURE
Today has been left free for you to explore Cape Town at your own pace. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront has sweeping views of the ocean, harbour, city bowl and Table Mountain, and is the perfect place to relax with many excellent restaurants and attractions. Otherwise you could choose to join today's optional excursion - an guided tour of Cape Town's oldest township.

DAY 5 CAPE TOWN - OUDTSHOORN
Today we travel along the scenic Route 62, one of the longest wine routes in the world. We'll stop off along the way for a wine tasting before arriving into Oudtshoorn, where we will stay for this evening.

DAY 6 OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA
Our day begins with a visit to the impressive Cango Caves, where we’ll descend into an underground world of limestone caverns. A visit to an ostrich farm is next, to admire these curious looking creatures, before heading to Knysna, a town at the heart of the Garden Route, which nestles on the shores of a beautiful lagoon, surrounded by ancient forests. After checking into the hotel, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure

DAY 7 KNYSNA - AT LEISURE
You are free to explore Knysna at your own pace today. You could perhaps explore the town's boutiques and shops with your travelling companions or maybe take in the views from the heads - two huge cliffs lying at the mouth of the lagoon. Alternatively, you could join our optional excursion to Featherbed Nature Reserve. We'll take a ferry across the Knysna Lagoon and admire spectacular scenery as we drive onto the reserve. A Specialist Guide will tell us all about the region's flora and fauna, and we'll take a walk through the coastal forest to see ancient sea caves. After working
up an appetite we'll be ready for our included buffet lunch, which is served at a beautiful outdoor restaurant under a canopy of Milkwood trees.

DAY 8 KNYSNA - PRETORIA
We will say goodbye to Knysna this morning and drive along the spectacular Garden Route to Port Elizabeth, also known as Gqeberha. Along the way, we’ll stop at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park, where you can walk across the 77-metre-long suspension bridge that crosses the water as it flows into the ocean. When we arrive in Gqeberha, we’ll head to the airport and fly to Johannesburg for our overnight stay in Pretoria.

DAY 9 PANORAMA ROUTE
The Panorama Route weaves its way through some of the most stunning scenery in South Africa – the rainforest at God's Window, Bourke's Luck potholes and Blyde Canyon are just some of the highlights. It's also our route to Mpumalanga, the gateway to the iconic Kruger National Park.

DAY 10 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Wake up to the incredible sounds of the African bush as you embark on a thrilling full-day game drive in Kruger. The park is home to an enthralling array of wildlife, so hopefully you'll tick off at least some, if not all, of the 'Big Five' – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
On your return, there's time to relax by the pool with a refreshing drink later this afternoon.

DAY 11 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - AT LEISURE
There's more time at leisure today, with game drives on offer as an optional excursion if you want to see more of your thrilling surroundings and the resident wildlife. Tonight, if the weather is on our side, get to know one of South African's oldest traditions for dinner - the Boma. An amazing outdoor dinner around a fire place for ambiance and warmth to enjoy those famous African barbecue meals.

DAY 12 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - JOHANNESBURG
After a leisurely start to the day, you're free to explore more of your surroundings before we make our way back to Johannesburg where we will gather for our farewell dinner.

DAY 1 UK - MALAGA
Today, you fly to Malaga and transfer to Mijas, a lovely town nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountains. Our hotel is set between the beach and the mountains, just a five-minute walk from the centre of town. After time to settle in, we'll get to know one another better over a welcome drink.

DAY 2 MALAGA
Today's included excursion will introduce us to the highlights of Malaga, a cosmopolitan city set on the shores of the Mediterranean. Famed as the birthplace of artist Picasso, it is enveloped by 3,000 years of history, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Dinner this evening will be a local affair at a restaurant in the village of Mijas, only a short walk from the hotel.

DAY 3 RONDA
Admire magnificent scenery as we drive to the lovely clifftop town of Ronda. Enjoying a spectacular location on a towering plateau, the town is divided by El Tajo, a precipitous gorge more than 600ft deep. On one side of the gorge stands the old Moorish town of La Ciudad, with the more modern El Mercadillo part of town on the other. El Tajo is spanned by the 18th century Puente Nuevo Bridge, and we'll take in the fabulous views from here and look down to the waters of the River Guadalevin below.

DAY 4 MIJAS - AT LEISURE
Spend a day at leisure enjoying the facilities at your hotel. You could relax by the pool, be pampered at the health and beauty club or maybe head to a nearby beach to unwind. Alternatively, you could choose to join our optional excursion to Granada and the stunning Alhambra Palace. Standing high on a hill overlooking the city, the palace was built by the Moors in the 13th and 14th centuries and has been added to over time to become a magnificent complex of pink stone courtyards, pools, fountains, grand halls and cool patios.

DAY 5 FRIGILIANA & NERJA
The beautiful hilltop village of Frigiliana, situated in the foothills of the Almijara Mountains, is our first stop on today's included excursion. It is a maze of cobbled streets and its historic centre has a distinctively Moorish appearance. Explore, relax with your travelling companions in a traditional bar or restaurant, and maybe shop for local handicrafts such as ceramics and lace. Next, we'll continue on to Nerja with its lovely sandy beaches and hidden coves. Once a sleepy fishing village, its old quarter remains virtually unchanged, with narrow, winding streets lined with whitewashed houses and wrought-iron terraces overflowing with aromatic geraniums.

DAY 6 MIJAS - AT LEISURE
Explore at your own pace today. The centre of Mijas, with its charming cobbled streets, bars, restaurants and stunning views, is just a five-minute walk from our hotel. Why not venture out with your travelling companions to discover its historic sights, such as the oval bullring, the 16th century Shrine of Virgen de la Peña and the Church of San Sebastian, noted for its wonderful façade.
If you want to travel a bit further afield, you could join our optional excursion to Gibraltar.

DAY 7 MIJAS
Enjoy a further day at leisure today. Maybe you'll decide to relax and soak up the sun on the hotel's terrace or perhaps you'll wander into Mijas with your fellow travellers to sample the cuisine in one of the local cafés or bars. DAY 2 TUSCAN FARMHOUSE EXPERIENCE
Today we include a visit to the beautiful Fattoria Il Poggio farmhouse, where wine and olive oil is produced. We’ll take a tour of the vineyards and sample four different wines, and head to the mill to learn about their wonderful extra virgin olive oil. Afterwards, we’ll sit down to enjoy a delicious lunch of Tuscan specialities prepared using fresh, local ingredients.

DAY 3 FLORENCE
Florence is known as Italy’s ‘art city’. It is home to works by great masters including Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Built beside the River Arno, explore the city’s compact historic centre on your included excursion. Stroll across the Ponte Vecchio, climb the steps of the magnificent Duomo and admire glorious architecture among the Renaissance streets and piazzas.

DAY 4 MONTECATINI TERME - AT LEISURE
Today is yours to explore at leisure, alternatively you could choose to join an optional excursion to Siena. Siena is one of the most perfectly preserved medieval cities in Europe. The old medieval centre has been declared an UNESCO world heritage site due it’s enchanting narrow streets, lined with palaces and mansions, which lead to the spectacular Piazza del Campo.

DAY 5 PISA
Pisa is home to one of Italy’s most recognisable sights, the famous Leaning Tower. Residing in the Field of Miracles, this 180ft campanile took 176 years to build and began to lean shortly after construction. Thankfully the structure has recently been secured yet it still retains its famous lean. We include a visit to the Field of Miracles this morning. Discover more of Pisa this afternoon in the company of your fellow travellers - your Holiday Director will always be on hand to suggest interesting places to visit. There’s a real treat in store this evening, we’ve included a night at the
Montecatini Opera Festival.

DAY 6 MONTECATINI TERME - AT LEISURE
Enjoy a day at leisure in Montecatini Terme. This famous spa town was founded on the healing thermal waters that flow through it, celebrated by the many fountains and Art Nouveau spa buildings throughout. This leisure town is famous for shopping and dining, or you could take a trip by funicular railway to the castle and fortress of Montecatini Alto.

Lucca is a traditional historic town surrounded by impressive walls. Explore the town on an optional excursion today. Alternatively, enjoy a day to relax and explore at your own pace.
